…each and everyone one of you! I am so incredibly blessed by you and the incredible lessons you’ve taught me on my journey to being the best nutritionist and coach I can be. I absolutely love what I do and as you are all learning and growing so am I with the way our relationship grows. So to begin, thank you for this gift.

That being said, let’s explore some different avenues of this week and how you’ll be attacking the feast ahead. What should you avoid and how can you stay at your peak performance, even on this food floored holiday?

Don’t Be The Vegetables

This week brings undeniable feasting and it’s 100% okay to indulge a little as it’s a singular holiday that’s meant to be enjoyed thoroughly. One great way to earn those extra helpings: get your booty outside and get active! A little extra exercise this week will totally validate a little more green bean casserole. And what a great way to bring everyone together! Take a family walk, do an early morning run or a little trip to the treadmill will keep you on track with your health goals, even during this turbulent turkey time.

Sneaky Snacks That Snap Back

What’s great about this week is there’s something for everyone to munch on! All have been accommodated for and that’s something to be thankful for in itself. That being said, it’s important for you to remember there are a few food items here that had best be avoided or enjoyed verrry sparingly!

Cranberries and mashed potatoes, for example, are sneaky with their sugar and fat content, but you can bet they’re packed with it. Liquids too. And yes, that means the wine. Your liquid caloric intake usually spikes this time of year, but just stay aware of how much is in each glass and make your best judgment!

Blending these two together (exercise and vigilance) will be your very own secret recipe this Thanksgiving. Don’t overthink this week either! It’s a time of relaxation and togetherness so be sure to do just that.

Safe travels to you all! If you are interested in further learning about preparing for Turkey Day, leave a comment below or book a free consult with me HERE!

To your health,

Patti
