If your mission is to lose weight, then besides having a healthy gut and balanced blood sugar, burning fat should be at the top of your list. One way to achieve this is by finding some simple and easy fat-burning snacks. The following snacks are easy to grab and take with you. They’ll also rev up your metabolism to burn some fat.

Figs

Figs are a type of fruit that not many people are familiar with. They contain a lot of fiber, are sweet like some of your other favorite fruits, and can fill you up quickly. Not only do figs help curb your cravings and reduce your appetite by filling you up, they also help to burn fat at a faster rate than most fruits. They are ideal when you are trying to find an easy snack you can grab on your way out the door. You can use either fresh or dried figs.

Kale Chips

Another type of healthy snack that will also help to burn more fat is kale chips. These can be purchased at a health food store, or you can easily make them yourself. By making them on your own, you reduce the sodium, unhealthy oils and you save quite a bit of money: cut kale into smaller pieces and put them on a cookie sheet. Drizzle with coconut or avocado oil, pink Himalayan salt, and pepper. Bake them for about 15 minutes or until crisp and store in a plastic bag or container. These are filling and quite low in fat, and kale is an excellent fat-burning superfood.

Nuts

Walnuts, almonds, brazil nuts (only 5-6 per day due to high Selenium content) and even pistachios are one of the best options for burning fat. Sure, they might be a little higher in calories than what you’re used to, but they contain healthy fat. Eating them as a snack keeps your carb intake low and your protein intake and energy high. Put them in portion bags that you can quickly grab and throw in your purse or lunch bag on your way out the door. This will prevent you from over-indulging; a serving size would be about two tablespoons.

Avocado

Avocado is another fat-burning food that is easy to enjoy as a snack. Open up an avocado and sprinkle some salt on it, or you can enjoy it mashed with some salsa, similar to guacamole. Dip some veggies (jicama, celery, cucumber, carrots and more!) in it, and you’re good to go. Enjoy!

To Your Health,
