Welcome one and all to a brand new year! 2018 is all about letting go of what kept you down and blazing a trail to new heights. It’s time to toss out all those health blunders you’re hung up on and hit the reset button. This is week one of amazing changes and opportunities for you and your health. So let’s dive right in talk preemptive ways to hit the ground running.

Rummage and Remove

I’m not just talking all sneaky sugar-packed foods or tempting snack items, I’m looking at what’s under the food: the supersized platters! First off, big plates are an unspoken danger in the food world. I’m not saying trash the saucer plates, but when using a smaller plate your mind and even your body are able to accept the portion placed in front of you. No more overeating or the stuffed stomach pains that comes with it!

Snack With Care

Now, this is a tricky one because there is a fine line between a snack and a meal. A snack is, for all intents and purposes, a great utensil for the new year’s tool bag. A snack is meant to curve those hunger pains and prevent you from diving headfirst into your lunch or dinner. Snacks pull you back from binge eating, granted the snack isn’t something that’ll throw you off the track to being a health goddess. Keep them light and keep them natural.

“Try New Things”

Or even, “Don’t be so picky!” How many of us heard these little ditties growing up? Well I won’t go full mama mode on you, but I am telling you once you open your mind to some new foods never tried before, you really discover a lot about you and your health goals. The possibilities expand to wider horizons when you take the leap and try some zoodles or chia seeds. The larger selection you have on your grocery list, the easier and more attainable your goals become.

2018 will be YOUR year, but only if you embrace the change and open your mind to what your body needs.
